Demsun S22 Universal Silicone Sealant White

Demsun S22 Universal Silicone Sealant in white is a flexible, rubber-like sealant used to fill and seal gaps and joints around the home. It is often used around baths, sinks, shower trays, worktops, windows and door frames. The white finish gives a clean, neat line against white tiles, sanitaryware and frames.

Where to Use White Silicone Sealant

White silicone sealant is most often used to close the small gaps where two surfaces meet. Silicone stays flexible once set, so it copes with the slight movement found at joints.

  • Seal the edge between a bath or shower tray and the wall tiles
  • Finish the joint between a sink or worktop and the wall
  • Fill gaps around window frames and door frames
  • Redo old, worn sealant around basins and splashbacks

Always check the label on the cartridge to confirm the best surfaces and uses for this sealant.

How to Apply Silicone Sealant Neatly

A tidy sealant line starts with a clean, dry joint. Remove all old sealant first, then wipe away dust, grease and soap residue.

Run masking tape along both sides of the gap to keep the edges straight. Cut the nozzle at an angle to suit the width of the joint. Apply the sealant in one steady pass, then smooth it with a finger or a smoothing tool dipped in soapy water. Peel off the tape straight away, before the sealant starts to skin over.

Silicone Sealant FAQ

Can I put new silicone sealant over old sealant?

No, old sealant should be removed first. New silicone does not bond well to old silicone, so the joint may not seal properly.

Why use masking tape when sealing a joint?

Masking tape keeps the sealant line straight and stops it smearing onto tiles or paintwork. Peel it off just after smoothing for a sharp, clean edge.

How long does silicone sealant take to cure?

Curing time depends on the thickness of the bead, the temperature and the room's airflow. Follow the instructions on the cartridge before the joint gets wet.

Add Demsun S22 white silicone sealant to your basket, ready for your next bath, sink or window re-seal.

Disclaimer

We take great care when preparing and securely packing every order; however, during transportation, parcels may be handled by several parties, including the courier, and despite our best efforts, minor cosmetic damage such as dents, marks, scuffs or damage to external packaging may occasionally occur. Minor cosmetic damage that does not affect the product’s safety, quality or intended use will not normally be considered a product defect. This is particularly applicable to products supplied in cans, tins, plastic containers, boxes or similar packaging. If you receive a product that is broken, leaking, materially damaged, unsafe, unusable or otherwise not as described, please contact us within 24 Hours of delivery by email or telephone and provide your order number, details of the issue and clear photographs of the damaged product and packaging. We may require further information or evidence to investigate the matter and, where necessary, may take up to 14 days to complete our investigation. Where damage appears to have occurred during delivery, we may need to raise a claim with the courier, and you may be required to complete and return any Damage on Receipt (DOR) form or other documentation requested by the courier before the claim can be processed. Some products we sell are price-marked or display a manufacturer’s recommended or printed retail price. Please note that our online selling prices may differ from the price printed on the product because online orders involve additional costs such as picking, packing, packaging materials, warehouse handling, payment processing, website administration and delivery-related costs. You may therefore receive a product displaying a printed or recommended retail price that is lower than the price you paid online. The price you agree to pay is the online selling price displayed on our website at the time you place your order, and the presence of a lower printed or recommended retail price on the packaging does not, by itself, mean that the online purchase price was incorrect. Product images displayed on our website are for illustration and presentation purposes only. Actual product packaging, branding, design, colour, size, shape or appearance may vary depending on availability, manufacturer, batch or packaging updates. Such variations do not necessarily indicate that the product supplied is different from the product ordered, provided that the product itself corresponds to the description and specifications stated on the website. We ask customers to check their order and products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if there is any material damage, fault, incorrect item or issue with the goods.
